Red, White & Blue

The most emotional set of colors in the English language – “Red, White & Blue”.  You hear the words and you FEEL patriotic.

Hear the words spoken in the wrong order, and you think “that’s not right”.

See them together and you think “America”.  Not many things induce a reaction so strong from so many.  In celebration and recognition of the upcoming Independence Day, I am going to blog those colors!  Today Red, tomorrow white, Monday blue. Finally on Tuesday – things that are all three.

Enjoy! And thanks to Rebecca Sower for sharing the mosaic photo collage creator!  What FUN!

Now appearing at ARTifacts!

vintage child school chair

Now showing in Filo’s booth is this new arrival of this children’s school chair. It is so cute – and would be perfect for any child’s room or on a patio for decoration.

Vintage Frames in Lily Belle Antiques

Two vintage frames available in Lily Belle Antiques.  One classic gold, and one painted white.  Both gorgeous and waiting for your creativity!

Fun Rings by Appealing Jewelry Designs

Love these new spiral rings in Appealing Jewelry Designs.  They are beautiful AND fun!  And a great gift idea at only $7 for the color glass ring, and $38 for the special tiger eye and 14k gold fill ring.

Curious CasesHere are a few new suitcases from Curious Cases.  These new one of a kind travel suitcases have so many purposes – not just limited to …well…being used as a SUITCASE!

The train size cases are $40 and the medium traveler size is $50.  The proceeds from suitcases sales will assist the owner of Curious Cases to fund her mission trip to Africa this fall.

Magnets by Sally

These magnets by Sally are a fun gift item. At $2 each, you can get all kinds of different designs without breaking the budget and have a fun way to display the artwork of your kids on the refrigerator!

Sorry the picture is so bad, hard to get them  with their reflective nature – come see with your own eyes, you will love them!

And the wonderful Jodi has added more items to her product line of all natural bath and body items.  Shampoo & Conditioner are here now.  As are foot spray and deodorant sprays.  You won’t believe her prices at $2. for foot spray and $2.50 for the deodorant and hair care items!  Everyone can afford to go natural at these prices!

More to come as our newest vendors are adding to their booth as I type this blog!!

See you downtown!

Flash, Glam & Porcelain

DSCF0041

LilyBelle Antiques has an addiction – but that is ok, cuz it seems many of our customers do too – to vintage cameras.  This one is still inside the box with extra bulbs

Handmade baby doll bed

Guy has added this adorable doll baby bed in his booth.  Perfect for most doll babies or American Girl dolls.  At an amazing price for handmade! Ladder back chair and quilt

White painted ladder back chair in the Loose Potter booth and this green and white quilt.  I also have an addiction to quilts.  My husband has cut me off for the time being – and since it is 100 degrees outside today I think I can live with that a while longer. DSCF0082 Also new in the Loose Potters booth – she has been feeling the creative bug in the jewelry arena lately.  Saturday she brought in lots of new pieces – and these are my 2 favorites – hope you like them too!  I love all the different colors and shapes of the top necklace – this style is very popular right now (this is a save me from myself please piece!).

Then the piece below with the wonderful orange and turquoise

Jewelry set by Loose Potter DSCF0086

Also by Loose Potter – this delicate porcelain plate. The delicate leaf designs is so unique and just lovely!

See you downtown!

Two New Features

Some of my favorite blogs have regular features – so I have been wanting to do them too – here is what I have selected.   I will do 2 regular features a week – the first (a day late because I am going to post today for yesterday!) will be “Fab Find Friday:.  Here I will feature a fantastic find from my many incredible antique dealers.  I will feature items that catch my eye, are an incredible deal, or have an incredible story with them.

FunFriday copy

Next, I will feature an artist or handcrafted item on “Creation Tuesday”. This will be a fun one – since we have so many amazingly talented artisans here at ARTifacts.

On that note – the first installment of Fab Find Friday!

I love this spool drawer in Vintage Mary’s booth.  All original knobs and just useful for so many things!  Would be cute in a bathroom, craft room, kitchen, children’s room – on and on!  It is a great deal marked at $235! (This weekend she has a sale for 20% off in her booth!  Great deal for this very unique piece.

fav1I love these birds!  Ideas are ENDLESS for these vintage wonders!  That said – they are SOLD already!  They made it into the shop, and 24 hours later, they walked out with one lucky gal!  But I still have a photo, so I wanted to share!

Bake Oven BowlsThese Bake Oven ceramic collectible bowls are the bees knees!  I just LOVE them!  They would make the perfect accent piece in any kitchen!  Just $75 for the set/3 it is a great deal (this weekend she has a sale for 25% off too!  Can’t beat that!)

So, those are my Friday (on Saturday) Fab Finds!

Let me know what you think of this new feature!

Cheers!

Featured Vendor - Tabitha Tackett

Tabitha Tackett, owner of LilyBelle Antiques, loves old stuff. It is in her blood. And her gift of collecting unique and fun pieces has made her booth a favorite for many customers.

Love this collection of salt & pepper shakers that are in her booth right now.

Loads of kitchen supplies - all vintage - make her booth a constant stop for customers like Jan from Lovin' Spoonful Cafe on University.

The red glasses and vintage Tom Thumb typewriter would make a great display. Really enjoy those!

These dishes are so fun! I love the floral design on them, and really enjoy all the crackling in the pieces.

Visit LilyBelle Antiques often - Tabitha is changing things in her booth all the time to keep it fresh and new.
