Oh Baby Demonstration!

Did I get your attention with today's blog title? I hope I did, cuz I am excited about this next announcement.

Kathy Owen, one of our new vendors here at ARTifacts, is doing a painting demonstration with the painting product she uses on her furniture pieces. It is fun, easy and she sells the paint and the tools. She is doing the demo Thursday night in our rentable workshop space (no worries, it is climate controlled!!)

I hope you can stop by and see what she is creating during the ArtWalk this Thursday.

As promised....

So, yesterday I promised to feature some of the new stuff up here -

Let's start with ICE CREAM! YUMMY!!

We are now selling ice cream to help you keep cool on these hot summer days. Right now we have frozen lemonades, ice cream Dibs, Klondie Bars, Carb Smart Almond Bars, Ice Cream Sandwiches, Nutty Buddies, and Mini Haagen Daz! We are looking for someone who might be interested in making homemade ice cream for us. There are all kinds of rules with this, so please contact me if you are interested and we can discuss!

We also have a new vendor that has moved in at the front of the store. Patsy Dollar, the Loose Potter, has recently moved in with Pat Jones Jones Jewelry booth. Patsy's pottery is fun, eclectic and beautiful! Here are just a sampling of her pieces now available at ARTifacts!

In addition to those lovely pots, Patsy also has a keen eye for jewelry! She has several pieces in her booth using the wire wrap technique - just beautiful.

So much to share!!

I am back from my week off.....well it was off from ARTifacts - but on at church for our VBS! It was a ton of fun, and I wouldn't have changed it for anything - but WOW! Lots of work! Of course, I had Katie, my amazing co-director - who I never would have even considered doing VBS without! THANKS KATIE!!

So, during my week away - it got HOT HOT HOT! Ashley actually melted into a small puddle one day, so we are making a change to our store hours for the summer!

SO - effective IMMEDIATELY we will be opening at 9am and closing at 5pm. We will still be open Tuesday - Saturday.

More to come - we have had a TON of changes down here - so I need to get my camera out and start snapping!

New pottery, new jewelry, new photo frame, new new new! Stay tuned OR better yet - COME ON IN! We have ice cream for sale to keep you cool!

Patriotic Decorating

Summer is upon us, and it makes me want to pull out all my summer decor and freshen up the look around the house. This year, I need some new ideas to give a new twist to my look.

So, I turn to 2 of our vendors at ARTifacts. Busy Bee & Junky Monkey. Busy Bee has redone their booth entirely this past weekend, and it doesn't look at all like it did Saturday morning. They added many new pieces - but with the theme today I want to focus on their new Americana display.
I love the Colonial Drummer cross stitch, the vintage thermos, and the eagle tray - ok - I love the entire display.

There are also several items in Junky Monkey's booth that are seasonally appropriate. I already love these salvage wood stars that she has been making for some time now, but for this time of year I am finding more additional excuses to purchase one! Junky Monkey is one of our featured vendors this month - and she has out done herself getting the booth stocked up for the season. Come see for yourself! Hurry, because this stuff goes fast!
