Reisa Peters, Pastel Artist, has been with us at ARTifacts for 4 years.  Her amazing talent, style and eye have made her one of the most popular artists here at the shop.  Large pieces, medium, and miniature art that are perfect gifts for tree ornaments – and of course her greeting cards of her art are also perfect gifts.

Still warm?

OK – I am on a roll with the “hot stuff” photos – what do you think about THIS one?

!B6Kt04!!Wk~$(KGrHqV,!jUEybWz4G1DBMwdVvNN-Q~~_35

Found this one on eBay!  FUNNY!

But anyway, I promised more photos of new stuff today, so here they are!

Gabriele brought in this really special abstract piece she put together.  I love it – but as with most art that I try to photograph for the website/blog  - I rarely do them justice.  This artwork is better viewed in person.

Reisa Peters is one of our wonderful artists.  Focusing mostly on pastel, she has an amazing gift!  She has treated us all with making greeting cards out of her most popular pieces.  Several that have sold and won’t ever be available but as prints.  So she created these oversized greeting cards – PERFECT!  You don’t even have to mail them – get them for yourself, as mini art for your walls.  OR mail them to your favorite people. (I got one to mail to one of my favorite people in England.  It will remind her of a favorite book of both of ours.  So excited about these cards!)

Rebecca Sower has been busy at work making all kinds of new goodies for her booth here at ARTifacts.  I am so excited to share some of them with you – but you better hurry!  She had a bunch of these fun fabric flowers when she brought them in less than a week ago – and already down to these last few.

Relative Collections has been having fun making all kinds of vintage looking signage.  Here is the lastest.

What else is new?  Well, come back in the morning for a few more photos to piqué your interest!

Goodies

All kinds of new arrivals to inspire and excite today!

Right before ArtWalk, Reisa Peters, brought in several new mini art canvases.  5x7 art pieces perfect for gift giving and for that little space on your desk that needs a personal touch.  $17 each for these mini works of art!

Rebecca Sower has been at work on her booth again. She actually hopped over to a larger space, which is giving her tons more room to spread out and expand her offerings.  Like these mini ephemera kits.  While she still have the larger kits full of vintage papers for all kinds of mixed media projects, now she has put together these kits that just beg for your attention and creativity!

Maybe you will want to make an altered book like these.  Or if you’d rather, you can just purchase one already ready to go!  Just pick your favorite!

Right next door – Libby’s Nook and Cranny has been hard at work creating extremely affordable necklaces, rings and earrings.  Most from buttons, metal monogram letters and more.  $2 each these are a great present for Easter.

Creation Tuesday

CreationTuesday copy

Several Creations to share today!

Starting with some kid’s room decor.  I just love these painting by K(re)at(iv)e Designs.  They are so sweet!  These are available, but she will also do custom work.  She created a wonderful fairy painting for my girls room 2 Christmas’s ago – and I still smile it every time I see it!

DSCF1003Could he be any more adorable?!  And what about these hippos!

DSCF1004Kate has hidden hearts in this painting of the hippo.  Aren’t they cute!

Ok – so maybe you are past this point, or have no need for turtles or hippos.  Not to worry, I will not leave you creation-less this week!

This new painting just arrived in the shop last week.  Painted by Reisa Peters, it is just beautiful!  I love the colors, the amazing detail of the candlestick – and the flowers laying beside to soften the image.  It is definitely going to be a favorite piece of mine.

So-that is this weeks Creation Tuesday!  I hope we have inspired you  - to shop, to create, to share, to stop by!!

Cheers!

New Arrivals in Reisa Peters & Susan Davis's booths

Rumor has it that Reisa is working offering artcards prints for her customers of her artwork. They are coming soon - I am excited to see what they look like. In the meantime, enjoy the arrival of 2 new pastel pieces that Reisa recently completed. All framed and ready to go this is an amazing piece. The colors in the photo are completely different then what you see in person - love that it did that - very cool!
Next is this painting on the fruit rolling out of the bucket. All beautiful!
Susan Davis recently took down all her Christmas decor and replaced it with all different whimsical pieces that we have never seen before.
More of Susan's pieces. I love this shutters with the flag painted on them and the wonderfully festive floral collection in the vase.

Come back soon for much more!
Cheers!

More New!

So this blog I decided I would focus on new art that has arrived in the shop. We have so many extremely talented artists here - I was never really someone who bought art before. I don't know if it is my tastes are improving or that I am finally seeing stuff I like! Either way, I am in a quandry all the time now with what pieces touch me more - and for what reasons.

Reisa Peters is a wonderful artist that her work just amazes me. But there are 2 new pieces she just brought in that everyone should come see. This horse painting she just completed is fabulous! It would be a great addition to any horse lovers home. This photo doesn't do the piece justice at all - so please come in to check it out. AND her other piece that I am not going to post on here, instead entice you to come in and see if for yourself. It is so freeing, so beautiful!

Many of you are already familiar with Gabriele Wardiener's work both with the DAC and with ARTZ here in Clarksville. She also has a booth here at ARTifacts displaying her work. One of the crowd favorites are her dragons. She does all kinds of dragons in all different kinds of different media. Here are 2 of her new ones. There is one other, but you will have to come down and see it for yourself!

The final art piece I want to share with you is this darling painting by Gail Meyers. This little girl walking through the field of flowers is just so lovely. Come and see for yourself. A friend just commented on how wonderful it is to me - you have to agree!
