Fun stuff at ARTifacts Emporium

I love vintage silk scarves – especially with all the fans we have running at the shop right now.  They just wave in the breeze so nicely, very poetic – but I am not not a poet – so I borrowed this one from  Linda Terrell’s poem called “Days gone by”.

Dad's new 57 chevy, red and white,
crusing through town, with envious delight,
mom's scarf blowing in the wind.
The 50's gone by, like an old family friend.

This is just one part of the entire poem, but here you can read the whole thing – pretty cool actually!

Anyway – Relative Collections has dozens of these scarves in their booth – and right now they are participating in the Sizzling Summer Sale – so the already great prices on these scarves, is even better now!

They also have new memo boards, perfect for all your back to school organizational notes and photos of the kids first day of school.  I just love this vintage fabric used to make these one of a kind memo boards. (also on sale!!)

Gail Meyer brought in another beauty!  And she has put an amazing price on it.  (I just showed it to my husband – hinted very strongly, not sure he got the hint….)Gail Meyer Painting

More new arrivals to share tomorrow – come back for more – and share this post on your blog/facebook/Google Buzz/Twitter – what ever!  Just added that so you can share things easy as pie!

See you downtown!

New Arrivals

Relative Collections has been busy at work on their booth – many new changes have made big changes to their booth.  Let’s check some of them out.

They have made up some really great new chicken wire memo boards.  All different colors and fabric patterns.  Already sold 2, so come check them out before they are gone!

This green one has been sold to a good customer/good friend.  She purchased this one and covered it with photos of her grandbabies.  She sent me this photo this morning and it is wonderful! And aren’t her grandbabies adorable!!

More new arrivals at Relative Collections ~

DSCF0035 Wow!  Love this storage chest.

DSCF0036These two vintage iron pieces are the most unique I have ever seen. I just love them!

This new green cabinet is also extremely unique.  We think maybe it is from an old kitchen because of how decorative the crown molding on the top is.  But who knows what its history is!

This architectural piece is truly amazing!  About 8 feet tall in total.

Now, I know you are dying to come down and see all these in person – so I will see you soon, downtown!

Cheers!

Creation Tuesday!

I really have enjoyed doing this blog each week!  It is hard to do – select just a few items that are created – there are so many wonderful vendors here, I can never pick just 2!

But that is ok – cuz I will another chance next week :o)

Ok – so I had selected my items to feature on this blog – and then one of my vendors walked in with the great creation, and I switched gears!

vintage screen memory board Oh Baby!  Took an old vintage window door screen and added homemade magnets.  I love this look, it is just too fun.

wood bracelet with pencil drawingThen there are these wonderful bracelets made by Artistic Eye's Pamela Settle.  Pam takes a wood bracelet (she has various sizes and widths) and draws a design on them.  Each bracelet tells a story, that she includes with the purchase.

wood bracelet with pencil drawingHere is another one – this one has colored pencils – they are just beautiful!

Each one of her bracelets are completely different – very cool!

What will you create today?

Cheers!
