Aprons Galore!

The world is obsessed with aprons right now!  All my favorite blogs have been featuring their favorite aprons.  Showing all the different uses for their different aprons, and how they aren’t just for the kitchen anymore!

With that in mind, I wish to share with you the aprons of ARTifacts Emporium!

Audrey’s Aprons have a traditional flair with the excitement of the new and more popular fabric patterns that are sought after.

Audrey also adds the small touches that remind us that while we are working – we are girls and a flower always makes us free pretty!

The next two aprons by Rebecca Sower are also all hand made.  What makes Rebecca’s designs special are the vintage fabrics she includes.  Quilt squares, vintage buttons, ribbon, old tea towels, hankies and more make each of her aprons unique.

While still keeping the feminine feel with the ruffle and vintage lace.

Relative Collections and The Dollhouse also have a great selection of vintage aprons.

Aprons aren’t just for cooking anymore!  They are for crafting, playing, creating, and more!  You can also wear them just to feel pretty!  That is ok (encouraged really) too!

See you downtown!

New Vendor! Rebecca Sower

Rebecca Sower, I have long admired!  Her blog is full of beautiful creations that excite and calm me at  the same time.  When she finally called and said she was ready to have a booth here at ARTifacts – I was truly GIDDY with excitement.

She moved in last week, and true to all I had envisioned from this amazing talent, her booth is full of wonderful surprises!DSCF1005Hand made journals made from new and vintage items.  Many embellished with unique images, photos, postcards, vintage lace, buttons, vintage ledger papers and more.

My photos of her apron creations didn’t turn out like I wanted, so I took this one from her blog – but it is here in our lil’ shop.

My favorite jewelry is taking old and making it new again.  Rebecca’s jewelry, just another of her creative collection – are made of just that.  Old keys, hotel key tags, vintage charms, pendants, buttons and more make up one of a kind jewelry.

Featured Antique – Oh Baby!

Kathy of Oh Baby! is one of our incredible antique vendors.  She has an amazing gift for decorating, painting and making vintage pieces upcycled to a new life.

Oh Baby! Antiques says, “I love painting old furniture and replacing the hardware or adding new detail. Anything rusty speaks to me, as does vintage jewelry. I love repurposing these items into unique wall hangings.”

Join us on ArtWalk to learn more about Kathy's wonderful collections - or anyday at ARTifacts.

Come back tomorrow to learn about our handcraft featured vendor for January.

Thanks for shopping downtown Clarksville.

New Vendors!!

We have a couple of new people who have joined us at ARTifacts Emporium.  And we have had a few people moving around to different spaces too. Let’s check out a new vendor today – and another one tomorrow!

Introducing ``“Vintage, etc.”

DSCF1667

For those of you who shop Hodgepodge, you already know the decorating style of Patty Stinnett.  Patty has helped Paige by effortlessly continuing Paige’s decorating style while still adding flair and expertise of her own. Patty joined us and it has been all fun and buying since she did!  Here is just a few of the items she has to share – of course, I took these photos and within 2 hours she had already updated with more stuff – so this isn’t up to date anymore – but you will get the idea!

 DSCF1668

In Vintage, Etc you will find all kinds of goodies – but I have already helped myself to her linens, which are wonderful!  They are in excellent condition, and priced to move! DSCF1669

I love love love this end table/greenhouse/accent piece!  Made from vintage windows, this piece is so unusual – I just love it!! DSCF1670

Vintage, Etc has also quite a collection of vintage birds.  This is my favorite pair – while loving the vintage table they are perched on as well.  So much wonderful stuff! DSCF1671 Now, please help me out here.  I love these dishes.  They are Melmac dishes.  I want them.  I have taken them up front several times already – but really, my husband has already threatened to schedule an intervention for my addiction to plates (stop laughing at me Tabitha!!) so I figure for my marriage’s sake I have to refrain a bit longer.  Please come save me!

So – this new vendor – Vintage, Etc – has already brought several new things into my house.  I bet she can help you too!

See you downtown!
